Saving Lives and Changing Lives
We can better the lives of homeless and injured animals around the world. HIPAW funds animal welfare projects, including those carried out during Humanitourism trips. You can help animals, support people in underserved communities and transform our planet.

Saving Street Dogs And Celebrating The Kukur Tihar Festival
Get ready for an adventure of a lifetime when you join us for our October trip to Nepal. You can be a part of making a difference for abandoned dogs by helping at an animal shelter in Kathmandu while getting to know the local community. Immerse yourself in Nepalese culture during the spiritual Kikur Tihar festival, an annual event that honors dogs for their companionship. Best of all, you will embark on an incredible trek at your own pace in the spectacular scenery of the Himalayan mountains.
Animal rescue is a major part of HIPAW’s work. We often encounter animals on our trips that are injured, sick or in other conditions who would not survive without our help. After recovery, some are available for adoption. Coyote, who was in a near fatal car accident, was rescued and now lives in a safe home. During one trip to Nepal, HIPAW secured adoption families for 11 special needs dogs.
